I figure most of you folks probably have no idea who I am or what hole I crawled out of. Let me help you:

Name: Mel
Ok, what's you real name? It's a nickname - it's short for something. Use your imagination.
Hometown: Chicago - where I currently live
Age: Ha. Let's just say if I was a hockey jersey, I'd be a goalie.
Martial Status: Taken, but not married. Most states outlaw that. But this is not a political blog.
Real Job: I work a fulfilling, yet demanding job at a non-profit.
Education: I have a degree in Film/Video. Yeah. 
Favorite Hockey Team: Do you even have to ask?
Secondary Teams: I really don't root too much for other NHL teams unless they're playing teams I don't like. But if I had to choose, I'd pick the Boston Bruins & Toronto Maple Leafs (O6 FTW!). I tend to cheer for the underdog if I have no vested interest in a game. 
Teams You Don't Like: Detroit Red Wings, Vancouver Canucks, St Louis Blues. It's all in good fun - sports aren't enjoyable unless you have someone to root against. 
Favorite Current Players: Jonathan Toews, Duncan Keith, Antti Niemi (SADFACE), Niklas Hjalmarsson
Favorite Retired Players: Alain Chevrier, Jeremy Roenick, Steve Larmer, Dave Manson, J.P. Bourdeleau, Stan Mikita
First Hockey Game: Unless you count the times my mom went to the Stadium when she was pregnant with me, I was probably 4ish when my folks took me to my first Blackhawks game. 
Best Game Witnessed In Person: (tie) Game Six of the Western Conference Semi-Finals vs. Vancouver in 2009 (the Kane Hat Trick/Luongo Cried Game) or Game Four of the Western Conference Finals vs. San Jose in 2010 (Hawks sweep Sharks/Toews doesn't touch the Campbell Bowl). 
Best Hockey Moment Period: Kissing the Stanley Cup this summer and basically being able to photograph it unimpeded for about an hour. 
Have You Played Hockey: Haaa....no. When I was a kid, if you were a girl and wanted to skate you emulated Peggy Fleming, not Denis Savard. I did play some broomball in college though. 
Other Sports Favorites: Chicago Cubs (DON'T HATE), Chicago Bears. I like football, baseball, soccer & the Olympics.
Sports That Bore You To Tears: Basketball (although I will watch March Madness), Golf, Tennis
Things You Like Other Than Hockey: Photography. Silent Films. Pizza. Chicago. Naps. Hamsters. Legos. Star Wars. Cheesy Sci-Fi & Fantasy Films. Walks On The Beach.
